(LYRICS, TRANSLATION & VIDEO) “She is in deep love with him. She fought with the Family for him, but now she feels so fragile. He has given her a good living, but never expressed his love. With the fear of losing him, she is afraid to convey her love too. When he comes to visit her, she is surprised and she becomes angst-ridden on his departure. She does not understand her own tormented mental condition”.   Nayyara Noor نیّرہ نور in her unique, sensitive and mesmerizing voice has sung this amazing and heart wrenching ghazal so passionately, it sinks into the Soul. YOUTUBE                                    Madhubala ( मधुबाला),   was born to a conservative Muslim family named as Mumtaz Jahan Begum in New Delhi, India on 14 February 1933. After Madhubala's father, Ataullah Khan, lost his job at the Imperial Tobacco Company in Peshawar (Pakistan), he relocated his family to Delhi and then Mumbai where they faced many hardships including the deaths of her two brothers at ages five and six. Young Mumtaz entered the movie industry at the age of nine in order to provide help for her family. She starred in several successful movies in the 1950s and early 1960s, many of which have attained a classic status. It was Devika Rani, founder of Bombay Talkies who gave her the title Madhubala, meaning "a girl of honey". Her first lead role, at 14-years-old, was with producer  Kidar Sharma  when he cast her opposite  Raj Kapoor  in  Neel Kamal  (1947). YOUTUBE ( Lyrics with Translation ) The lilting sweet melodious composition haunts the soul and mind. A great vintage love song, a dream composition composed in a trance by Jaikishan, just listen to the prelude of the song. I feel that this is the greatest ever duet composed with enchanting music by Shankar Jai Kishan and the Great lyricist Hasrat Jaipuri must be in the greatest ever pleasant mood while penning it!!!     Simply the perfect music/lyrics/singing. Just observe how the word  "neele"  is sung at various times. In the very first line, Lata sings  "neele"  for an extra micro-second long duration- makes all the difference. In "baitthain rahein hum tum..."the word "baitthain" is sung with some quivering... just pure ethereal singing. Lataji once said that Hemantda's voice gives the feeling that some saint was soulfully paying his oblation to the God in the temple. I have compiled this on Madhubala and Dilip Kuma
