دھوپ میں نکلو، گھٹاوؑں میں نہا کر دیکھو !
Dhoop meiN niklo, ghataaoN meiN naha kar dekho !
(Step out to enjoy the Sunshine, soak yourself in the Rain-showers)
زندگی کیا ہے، کتابوں کو ہٹا کر دیکھو !
Zindagee kya hai, kitaaboN ko hataa kar dekho !
(Enjoy the life and do not let the Books be your mentor)

وہ ستارہ ہے چمکنے دو یونہی آنکھوں میں !
Woh sitaara hai cham'kaney do yunhi aankhoN meiN !
(Your tears are like Stars in your Eyes, let them Shine there)
کیا ضروری ہے ، اسے جسم بنا کر دیکھو ! 
Kya zaroori hai, oosey  jism banaa kar dekho !
(What is vital for Relationship, embrace them with an open heart),

پتھروں میں بھی زبان ھوتی ہے، دل ہوتا ہے !
Pattharon mein bhee zubaaN hoti hai, dil hota hai !
(Even the Stones have Hearts and their message)
اپنے گھر کے در و دیوار سجا کر دیکھو !
Apaney ghar ke dar-o-deewaar sajaa kar dekho !
(You can feel it, by decorating the floors and walls of Your House with them), 

فاصلہ نظروں کا دھوکہ بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے !
Fasilaa nazaroN ka dhokhaa bhi to ho saktaa hai !
(The distance you are perceiving in Your Relationship, can be deceiving)   
وہ ملے یا نا ملے ، ہاتھ   بڑھا کر دیکھو !
Woh miley ya na miley, haath baR'haa kar dekho !
(Extend Your Hands, and let the life unfold its rewards without worrying the outcome)

 Jagjit Singh's style and melody was a departure from the prevalent style of ghazal rendition, which was heavily based on classical and semi-classical Indian music. Compared to his earlier ghazals (sung during 70s and 80s) his later ghazals have acquired a more soulful and poignant demeanour. Jagjit Singh is accredited with bringing the ghazal genre, which was previously restricted to the elite classes, to the masses.

 The singer was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2003. In February 2014, Government of India released a postal stamp in his honour. No matter how much we praise him today, we will never have the same voice, vibe or feeling in the music industry again.

Nida Fazli was born in Delhi, India in 1938 and attended school in Gwalior. His father was an Urdu poet. During the Partition of India his parents migrated to Pakistan, but Fazli decided to stay in India.

 Nida Fazli's ghazals are sung by notable artists of the day. He teamed up with Jagjit Singh in 1994 to bring an album named INSIGHT, which got appreciation for its soulful poetry and music. He wrote famous ghazal for movie Sarfarosh sung by Jagjit Singh: Hosh Waalon ko

    Great collection of Jagjit Singh Ghazals with some inspirational pictures. His songs are really one of the great old is gold song list.
